Anil D'Souza

Founder & Managing Partner

Anil founded Advent Advocates in 2017 and leads the firm's RERA and real-estate practice, with a trail-blazing record before the MahaRERA Authority, the Adjudicating Officer and the MahaRERA Appellate Tribunal. He brings more than twenty years across industry verticals in India, the UAE and Bahrain to a practice spanning RERA, civil and property matters, redevelopment, conveyance and recovery, the NCLT and DRT, and family and consumer disputes. That breadth shaped the firm's multidisciplinary model — advocates, chartered accountants and engineers on the same file — after seeing how often real-estate matters fail because legal, financial and technical questions are answered in silos.

Valentina Fernandes

Partner — RERA Advisory

Valentina leads the firm's RERA advisory practice, guiding promoters, investors and lenders through structuring, disclosures and agreement drafting from launch to handover. She is the person clients call before a decision is locked in — because a clause fixed at the drafting stage is a dispute avoided later. Her practice pairs a transactional eye with deep RERA fluency, and she is a frequent author on carpet-area and disclosure issues.

Shiwang Mishra

Partner — Litigation

Shiwang heads dispute resolution, appearing across the civil courts, the High Court and the tribunals on property and commercial matters. He is equally at home securing an urgent injunction and running a multi-year trial to judgment, and brings the commercial judgement to know when a case should be fought and when it should be settled. Clients value his clarity under pressure and his refusal to over-litigate.

Ritika Iyer

Partner — Corporate & Commercial

Ritika advises corporates, lenders and promoters on commercial disputes, insolvency and diligence, bringing a transactional lens to contentious matters. She represents clients before the NCLT on insolvency and oppression-and-mismanagement, conducts arbitrations, and leads the firm's title and project due-diligence work. Her strength is translating a legal position into a commercial outcome the board can act on.

Shushmita Chalke

Shushmita runs the firm's managed-compliance desk, keeping promoter clients lapse-free across quarterly QPRs, annual audits and disclosure updates.
